Sue Allison

I retired two years ago from a long nursing career working predominantly as a community mental health nurse in older people’s services.

I am now privileged and blessed to work as Missioner having previously been a volunteer. Darlington Town Mission is very close to my heart as my late Dad was also a Missioner for many years.

Having a caring heart for others is central to all I strive to do. My role is so rewarding everyday seeing the difference we make to the lives of our wonderful friends by providing companionship, encouragement, friendship and alleviating loneliness.

I also lead 1st Darlington Girls Brigade Company – we have around 60 children each Friday so I love to be busy. I’m a member of Cockerton Methodist Church.

I am married to Neil, have two children Bethany and James and a Yorkshire Terrier Reggie !
