Brian Tyreman

After serving my apprenticeship I qualified as an electrician. I worked on various industrial sites in England and Scotland. In 1969 I secured a position in the copier industry as a Field Service Engineer for the north of England. I was married with two children.  In 1983 we relocated to Buckinghamshire working for a major Japanese electronics company as a General Manager for the next 20 years.

In 2003 we made the move back to Darlington due to my wife’s ill health and sadly she passed away.

In 2009 I met Anne and we married some 2 years later. At that time Anne was a Missioner for Darlington Town Mission. I became passionately involved as a volunteer working with Anne and after a short time I was delighted to be appointed as a Trustee.

Together Anne and I, along with a number of other volunteers started the Fund Raising Committee. We are a lively group. We plan and host a wide variety of events throughout the year from barbecues, quiz nights, flower arranging to raffles and live music and anything else we can think of to raise valuable funds.

We enjoy spending time at our holiday home in Scotland walking and touring about, heaven on earth.
